Your memory is a monster; you forget—it doesn’t. It simply files things away. It keeps things for you, or hides things from you—and summons them to your recall with will of its own.

Personal

Why do I want to become a PMHNP? As an experienced labor and delivery nurse with a dedication to women’s health and wellness, I have a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that women face during the perinatal period.

Having spent 19 years in the field of obstetric nursing, I have been privileged to care for and develop greater insight into women and their families who face physical and emotional challenges during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

As a mother of twins, I have felt the impact of deflated expectations for childbirth and the struggles that can arise postpartum.

What do you love to do outside of work? Motorcycle trips, fishing, hiking, working in my garden, music, and working out

Do you have any pets? Yes- 2 rescue chihuahuas that I picked up at the airport direct from Mexico, and 2 rescue cats.

What are your favorite books? A Prayer for Owen Meany & The Old Man and the Sea
