Lindsey Mehran, DNP, RN, CNP

Certified Nurse Practitioner

Please note: Lindsey is accepting a limited number of clients. **Not in-network with United Healthcare (Optum/Medica/Surest/UMR/UBH).

My goal with every patient is to work in tandem to get the root cause of their issue. How we ameliorate said issues comes from a combination of therapy, medication, nutrition evaluation, labs, or referrals external to my practice. Each patient starts from scratch and we work our way towards success together.

Experience

Lindsey’s passion lies in seeking to understand the truly complex underpinnings of every woman’s unique story, knowing that mind & body are not two separate entities, but rather one whole that is continuously changing throughout life.

Lindsey is a born and raised Minnesotan. It was through her own lived experience that Lindsey decided to instead confront the shortcomings of the current health care treatment of women. Lindsey has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 5 years, three of which were spent directly in women’s health, working to shift the treatment paradigm of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Lindsey provides psychiatric assessments and prescribes medications for ages 18+, and offers appointments via telehealth.

Personal

Why did you become a nurse/nurse practitioner? Ultimately, I fell into nursing by chance a very long time ago. After sitting down next to another student at Minneapolis Community College, she told me that she was a certified nursing assistant. I went ahead and took the course got a job as a certified nursing assistant at a long-term care facility and the rest was history. Through continued networking, I figured out that I wanted to become an NP in geriatrics, specifically memory care. I set my goal and achieved it in 2013 with my doctorate. Fast forward a few years and after my own experience with PMADS in 2017, following the birth of my twin boys, I knew I wanted to pay it forward and help women and Mama’s like myself.

What are your interests outside of work? I love to spend time with my husband and 4 kiddos. We travel to the cabin on weekends and find all kinds of activities and travel opportunities to experience together. The highlight of each summer for me is our trip to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. South Dakota is one my favorite places to travel. I love to spend time reading books, doing yard work, and I love cleaning and organizing. Ha….it’s endless with 4 kids. My one major love is weightlifting and taking really good care of my body and mind. My motto is: What Serves Me. I fill my cup first and then move on to others.

Do you have any pets? We have one cat left from our 3 dogs and 3 cats days. The rest have passed on. We are looking to add a dog to the crew perhaps sometime in the next year.

What do you like to listen to or read? I have listened to every single ‘Crime Junkie’ Podcast and ‘Swindled’ Podcast. They are my favorite! My author of choice at the moment is Frieda McFadden. I’m whipping through her books. :)
